FORT CARSON, Colo. - 220427-N-PC620-0020 FORT CARSON, Colo. (April 27, 2022) U.S. Air Force Capt. Stephanie Ohms, a bioenvironmental engineer assigned to the Air Force Radiation Assessment Team, generates a dosimetry report, for the Joint Task Force Civil Support Forward Command Element, which logs the amount of notional radiation personnel responding to a simulated nuclear detonation have accrued during Exercise Vibrant Response 22, April 27, 2022. VR 22 is an annual, U.S. Army North-led chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear response enterprise command post exercise with approximately 350 active participants spanning April 25 to May 1. Joint Task Force Civil Support conducts CBRN response and all-hazards Defense Support to Civil Authorities (DSCA) operations in support of the lead federal agency in order to save lives, mitigate human suffering, and prevent further injury. Vibrant Response is an annual U.S. Army North, U.S. Northern Command directed Command Post Exercise planned in coordination with DoD, Department of Homeland Security, FEMA and other federal and state partners.
