FORT CARSON, Colo. - 220425-N-PC620-0049 FORT CARSON, Colo. (April 25, 2022) Maj. Gen. Jeff Van, left, Joint Task Force Civil Support commanding general, and Casey Collins, the deputy to the commander assigned to JTF-CS, discuss potential response options to a simulated manmade catastrophic incident during Exercise Vibrant Response 22, April 25, 2022. VR 22 is an annual, U.S. Army North-led chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear response enterprise command post exercise with approximately 350 active participants spanning April 25 to May 1. Joint Task Force Civil Support conducts CBRN response and all-hazards Defense Support to Civil Authorities (DSCA) operations in support of the lead federal agency in order to save lives, mitigate human suffering, and prevent further injury. Vibrant Response is an annual U.S. Army North, U.S. Northern Command directed Command Post Exercise planned in coordination with DoD, Department of Homeland Security, FEMA and other federal and state partners.
