FORT EUSTIS, Va. - Air Force Conventional Forces Coordinator and Director of Operations, Headquarters Air Combat Command, Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Va., Air Force Maj. Gen. Kevin Huyck is briefed by Air Force Master Sergeant Edward Johnson III on fleet capabilities and deployment procedures at Joint Task Force Civil Support (JTF-CS) during a visit to the command’s headquarters. JTF-CS employs conventional Air Force forces such as the Air Force Radiological Assessment Team, combat camera, the Expeditionary Medical Support (EMEDS), and the Rapid Engineer Deployable Heavy Operational Repair Squadron Engineers (REDHORSE). When directed, JTF-CS is ready to respond in 24 hours to provide command and control of 5,200 federal military forces located at more than 36 locations throughout the nation in support of civil authority response operations to save lives, prevent further injury and provide critical support to enable community recovery.
