Shaken Fury is a Federal Emergency Management Agency led exercise simulating a catastrophic earthquake along the New Madrid Seismic Zone (NMSZ) near Memphis, Tenn. The purpose of the exercise was to examine and improve the community’s response to a “no-notice” earthquake, recognize shortfalls in resources, and develop a coordinated recovery strategy plan.
