Preparations Underway for Ardent Sentry 2019
FORT EUSTIS, Va. - Air Force Maj. Marcus Grant briefs members of Joint Task Force Civil Support (JTF-CS) on exercise Ardent Sentry, which will take place June 3-7, 2019. The exercise will focus on a complex catastrophic earthquake along the New Madrid Seismic Zone (NMSZ) as part of Defense Support of Civil Authorities. When directed, JTF-CS is ready to respond in 24 hours to provide command and control of 5,200 federal military forces located at more than 36 locations throughout the nation acting in support of civil authority response operations to save lives, prevent further injury, and provide critical support to enable community recover.
